Keeping routines and procedures at home during E-Learning is a piece of the puzzle many caregivers are trying to figure out.
Routines and procedures are extremely regulating for the nervous system, so as we all find ways to keep certain things “normal,” here are a few ideas of things you might schedule on days kids aren’t doing academic work.
Non E-Learning Days: Using Screens
- Learn a new language
- Learn a new instrument
- Go on a virtual field trip
- Pick a place across the world and visit it in Google Maps
- Learn a dance from another culture
Non E-Learning Days: Without Screens
- Cooking a meal
- Drawing
- Free play
- Scavenger hunts for sensory items
- Spend time in nature
- Brain puzzles (crosswords, word search, learn new words in a dictionary)
